Job Summary
The Barista prepares beverage orders and works closely with the all-site operations staff to ensure that all transactions are completed promptly and correctly.

Baristas also ensure excellent standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and quality of product are maintained at the same time completing all tasks to the Company’s stated Health, safety, security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and guidelines.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares beverage orders for customers.
  • Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
  • Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
  • Clean service areas.
  • Set up or restock product displays.
  • Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
  • Wrap, label, or date beverages for sale.
  • Provide customers with product details, such as tasting notes.
  • Take out garbage.
  • Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products.
  • Check temperatures of freezers, and systems to ensure proper functioning.

Working Conditions
This job operates in a retail environment. This role routinely uses standard retail and office equipment such as cash registers (POS), price scanners, printers, phones, and computers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibility.


Regular Expected Hours of Work and Travel
Baristas may work more or less than 40 hours per week, depending on business operations and hotel occupancy. This position requires schedule flexibility. The Company may require the employee to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays.
