Travel Retail | Barista (IP&E-1108)

The Barista prepares beverage orders and works closely with the all-site operations staff to ensure that all transactions are completed promptly and correctly. Baristas also ensure excellent standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and quality of product are maintained at the same time completing all tasks to the Company’s stated Health, safety, security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

The Employee will:

• Prepare beverage orders for customers.
• Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
• Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
• Clean service areas.
• Set up or restock product displays.
• Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Wrap, label, or date beverages for sale.
• Provide customers with product details, such as tasting notes.
• Take out garbage.
• Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products.
• Check temperatures of freezers, and systems to ensure proper functioning.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• High school diploma or GED Certificate

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The physical activity of this position includes repetitive motions – making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cash registers (POS), price scanners, printers, and fax machines.
