Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Drives collection operations to ensure timely payments, reduce overdue and minimize bad debt by monitoring and reviewing monthly ageing reports, initiate action items to optimize resolutions.
- Develop collection strategies, set performance goals, supervise and evaluate productivity standards abide with operational credit policies and procedures.
- Performs account management as one of collaborative strategies in managing outstanding accounts receivable, including key assistance in reconciling transactions and resolving disputes to minimize financial risk while contributing efforts are relevant to the company’s healthy cash flow.
- Submits reliable collection forecast, conduct pre-and-post analysis review on balance in gaps.
- Partner with Finance Treasury in promoting alternative payment channels and financing methods.
- Have a customer centric mindset being a solutions provider to our customers.
- Mentor, guides and provide guidepost to direct reports for any operational issues and concerns e.g., credit assessments, sales invoices, certificates of withholding tax (CWTs), collection receipts (CRs).
- Present and ensuring well-coordinated targeted and actual DSO performances with stakeholders.
- Respond and control significant areas for account priorities and help foster process efficiencies.
- Schedule team meeting checkpoints, follow through, counsel action items as and when applicable to preserve customer account’s financial wellbeing and improve payment behavior.
- Possess the confidence to deal with all levels of the organization.
- Sends communications and valuable support to the Line Manager as may be required and needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Has strong leadership capabilities with 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory position with direct reports
- With extensive experience in accounts receivable collections, credit management, debt recovery, and dispute resolution
- Experience in building collections strategies, staff workload capacity planning, managing large customer portfolios
- Is attentive to details and has excellent skills in verbal and written communication and negotiation
- Strong organization and time management to handle numerous work demands and multiple deadlines
- Ability to lead, motivate, manage a team of analysts, set performance targets, and foster a high performing environment is essential
- Strong analytical abilities, able to interpret collection data, trends, forecast recoveries, optimize shared services business partners while minimizing risk of uncollected debts
- Good in problem solving and ability to work independently with minimum supervision and support
- Has customer centric mindset being a solutions provider to the internal and external customers
