Assist Plant Engineer to propose, plan and carry out regular inspection, annual overhaul, servicing, maintenance and supervision of electrical and mechanical equipment and plant facilities, and upgrading projects in LPG plants in a safe manner and comply to industrial standards, code of practices and company requirements.

Uphold the supply stabilities and continuities, storage, filling of LPG and routine plant maintenance is in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with agreed standards of product quality and customer services in order to achieve a safe and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Engineer to sustain a high HSSE standard in LPG plant operation to achieve the target of no LTI, TRC, fatalities and incidents according to the company’s HSSE policy, such as participate the safety test and exercises, ensure work permit and consignment are in place before each intervention.
• Assist to organize and execute maintenance work according to the production programme and annual maintenance plan and monitor mandatory regulatory inspection programme.
• Maintain the plant maintenance database and equipment history.
• Ensure contractors comply with the company’s HSSE policy, permit-to-work procedure and when carrying out engineering and maintenance activities in LPG Plant.
• Supervise and coordinate with contractors in carrying out regular inspections, troubleshooting and repair works, LPG fuel tank revalidation work, etc. are up to the company’s standards and requirements, and monitor their performance in all company’s facilities in different working locations.
• Maintain adequate stock inventory of spare parts and keep in proper manner.
• Support to 24-hour emergency calls as arose from plant equipment breakdown.
• Conduct physical intensive outdoor work and work irregular hours in order to fulfil operational needs.
• Become the key member of LPG plant fire fighting squad and first aider to provide assistance in dealing with emergency situation.
• Provide support to LPG plant operation in the odd hours or under adverse weather.
• Liaise with Shell CCR for LPG tanker unloading and the related operation in a safe and effective manner.
• Conduct the LPG sampling after vessel receipt.
• Conduct quality control check for cassette gas, cylinder, valve and regulator.
• Supervise the plant operations at external LPG outlets

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in gas industry and maintenance work
• Experience in plant operation or terminal has advantage
• Holder of a registered gas installer class 1 to 8 card
• Holder of a registered electrical worker grade A perferrable
• Holder of Competent Person Class 4 (Cap. 51) perferrable
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Fluent in Chinese, both writing and speaking (Cantonese).
• Ability to read/write and understand English
• 6 working days a week
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
• Ability to follow instructions and to communicate with peers and counterparts at all levels inside the plant
