The Network-Device Performance Technician, under the guidance and supervision of the department supervisor, performs the research, sourcing, validation testing & acceptance of all devices to be used on the mobile network including infra providers and UE/CPE development. This role works in close coordination with other engineering teams in the validation and acceptance of device performance. The employee serves as the technical SME resource for product, marketing, and other internal stakeholders. The employee holds ownership over all conformance testing, regression and non-regression testing, compliance auditing, network drive & indoor performance testing. The employee will take ownership over one or more UE/CPE development lifecycles such as Apple, Samsung, and others. This role has sole technical responsibility in the NPI process for new devices to ensure that each make/model/version follows acceptance requirements. Assists with internal training on devices, platforms, infra, and device technology, performs quality audits and site inspections of work performed to ensure legal and vendor guidelines are adhered to. Maintains device technical guidance for internal stakeholders and provides inter-departmental support as needed. Multiple industry and specialized certifications are required to be achieved as a condition of continuous employment. The employee must achieve Apple Carrier Development Certification as a condition of employment.

For visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision, the worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines. Using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts as distances close to the eyes.
