The Customer Service Cashier operates the cash register and related Point-of-Sale system according to established guidelines to ensure all cash-handling transactions during the shift are carried out in accordance with site accounting, cash handling, and security policies. The Cashier works closely with the all-site operations staff to ensure that all transactions are completed promptly and correctly. CSCs are expected to competently complete all sales and are held accountable for cash control, security and till balancing during their shift. CSCs also ensure excellent standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and quality of product are maintained at the same time completing all tasks to the Company’s stated Health, safety, security and Environment (HSSE) policies and guidelines.


Responsibilities

 

The Employee will:

  • Provide quality customer service in the shop and at the console
  • Interact positively and proactively with customers
  • Comply with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) and Food Safety standards
  • Active selling of all products
  • Conduct housekeeping and merchandising
  • Secure cash and manage the shift console balance
  • Managing customer complaints in a positive and action-oriented way
  • Prepare products for merchandising and sale
  • Ensure that all food bar equipment is cleaned and sanitized
  • Conduct food & equipment temperature checks
  • Ensure equipment readiness
  • Active use of site checklists
  • Support the Shift Leader and Station Supervisor with all station goals, initiatives and policies

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

 

  • High school diploma or GED Certificate
  • Valid Health Certification Techniques of Alcohol Management and Eating & Drinking/Food Establishment

Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The physical activity of this position includes repetitive motions – making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Working Conditions


This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cash registers (POS), price scanners, printers, and fax machines. This job also operates in a kitchen environment. This role routinely uses pots, pans, dishware, trays, utensils, hot water and food service equipment.
