Job Summary:
 

The Senior Director of Renewable Solutions is responsible for the strategic, financial, operational leadership, and business development of IP&E’s Renewable Solutions Division in the Guam and the region. Further, this Senior Director is responsible for originating, developing, and executing solar and solar + storage projects; ensuring and accelerating the growth of the Division's end to end service capabilities and offerings. The Senior Director of Renewable Solutions should be able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and be able to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including utility officials, regulators, customers, contractors, consultants, and other strategic partners. Responsibilities extend across all phases of Division's Business Development including: customer relationship management, market-specific strategy and analysis, direct marketing, business development plan creation and execution, operations and proposal development and management. The Senior Director will have a proficiency in modeling complex data sets and an understanding of the ever- changing renewable energy and energy storage policy and regulatory environment. The Senior Director will be entrepreneurial, team-oriented, and demonstrate strong reasoning and communication skills, both oral and written. This position will report directly to the Managing Director of IP&E. The position is based in Guam, this role will require travel to various project sites in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the strategic, financial, operational leadership, and business development of IP&E’s Renewable Solutions Division.
  • Assist development efforts by supporting the team on projects from inception, through contracting, and up to commencement of construction.
  • Support development efforts by responding to key RFPs, drafting project proposals, and conducting field surveys to gather and analyze available data in collaboration with internal finance, engineering and business development teams to structure and propose solar storage solutions.
  • Conduct deal screening and returns analysis on projects based on early-stage project information.
  • Develop and manage project development schedules and budgets.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of, and become expert in, target regions and markets, including applicable regulations and policies, incentives, RFP, and other development opportunities.
  • Identify and implement marketing initiatives, including developing business development materials, social media, and internal communications content, and identifying key marketing strategies and competitive differentiators.
  • Oversee project implementation efforts to assure projects adhere to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards and are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field strongly preferred
  • Four or more years of relevant experience in business development, marketing, or sales experience, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sectors
  • Demonstrated successful project management experience
  • Experience in leading, managing, racking projects, scheduling, financial modelling and analysis, and budgeting
  • Advanced credentials and certifications related to renewable energy preferred
