Job Summary:


We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will drive strategic growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and executing initiatives that enhance the companys market presence and profitability. This role goes beyond traditional sales and includes market intelligence, strategic planning, and building long-term value for the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, partners, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals; lead negotiations and close deals aligned with revenue targets.
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
  • Design and implement business development strategies that expand market reach and drive profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., crewing, operations) to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
  • Track and report key performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Requirements:


Education:

Bachelors degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

General: 12 years in crewing, recruitment, or deployment operations, including vessel and principal accreditation processes (DMW, MWO, OWWA, MARINA, DFA, Embassy/Consulate).

Specialized: 35 years in end-to-end business development, from client identification to deal closure.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CRM and sales platforms (e.g., Salesforce).

Shipboard experience preferred but not required.


Other Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented.
  • Ability to acquire and close business opportunities efficiently.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs.
