Electrical Engineer
Job Description:
Responsibilities
The Employee will:
- Confer with colleagues, customers, government officials and others to discuss potential and existing projects and products.
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical generation and storage systems, equipment, and components for commercial and industrial applications.
- Initiate project design drawing set with the drafting team for permit applications and client acceptance.
- Where necessary, operate AutoCAD and relevant electrical design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Direct and coordinate installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, industry best practices and customer requirements.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish code and company standards compliance.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
- Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
- Investigate and test vendors' and competitors' products.
- Oversee project implementation efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
- Investigate customer feedback on installations and, where necessary, determine nature and extent of problem or underperformance, and recommend remedial measures.
- Coordinate and schedule the deployment of maintenance personnel and equipment for timely rectification and minimal system downtime.
- Plan layout of electric power generating plants and distribution lines and stations.
- Assist in developing capital project programs for new projects, equipment, and major repairs.
- Develop budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs.
- Review and support technical applications for government and relevant authority permits.
- Collect data relating to commercial and residential development, population, and power system interconnection to determine operating efficiency of electrical systems.
- Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (may be foreign equivalent)
- 60 months experience

- $89,274.00 / Annual
