CPM | Prepaid Product Specialist (IT&E-1987)

The Prepaid Product Specialist, under the guidance and supervision of the Regional Channel Sales Manager, is responsible for defining, launching, sourcing, and maintaining assigned products and promotions.

The Prepaid Product Specialist will be expected to meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in the areas of subscribers, average revenue per user (ARPU), revenues, and cost to revenue metrics.   The Prepaid Product Specialist is also responsible for performing competitive analyses, product performance analysis, creating product roadmaps, new product launches, and providing all necessary training for new & existing services.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Employee will:

  • Know and uphold the established IT&E mission, policies and procedures, relevant provisions of the union agreement, IT&E and Department objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards.
  • Create product roadmaps to establish guidelines, timelines, expectations, and performance metrics.
    • Identify with the Channel Sales Manager and Customer Operations Director possible new products to bring to market
    • Secure approval for the initial roadmap for further development
  • Promote all assigned IT&E products and services through new product or service launches, promotions, and pushes.
    • Formulate strategies and ideas for new product or service launches; create project plans and work with respective impacted parties to ensure the end to end process of the launch
    • Create supporting documentation to support the product launches (communication briefs, training documentation, SOPs, product description, and etc.)
    • Train frontline staff to ensure the new product launch is understood by all parties (training presentation)
    • Liaise and negotiate launch and promotion details, as needed, with internal and external partners and sister companies.
  • Take all possible pre- and post-launch steps to ensure product profitability and continuously monitor implementation performance.
    • Work with the Business Development and Analytics Department to ensure that the creation and system functions are in line with the specific products and services being requested.
    • Perform product functionality tests prior to commercially launching to ensure end to end performance is correct.
    • Prepare forecasts, monitor business reviews, and update budgets on a regular basis through weekly tracking with the analytics group.
    • Ensure targets are met as established in the product management KPIs.
    • Conduct after action review of the new product launch and any promotions to ensure the goal is reached.
    • Monitor and review performance, rationalize the portfolio by decommissioning, refining, or adding new products and services to maximize subscriber and revenue potential.
  • Work with Marketing Department staff to make sure that the IT&E name is properly branded, and the IT&E image is successfully visible during all product launches and any promotions and pushes.
    • Coordinate with Marketing Creative team all initial collateral, packaging, and any additional POS material needed for product and promotional launches.
  • Responsible for outsourcing and initial ordering of new wireless and smart home accessories for both IT&E stores and Channel Sales partners.
  • Help build awareness in Guam and the CNMI that IT&E is a team of professionals with the best products and services in the Marianas Region.
  • Assist with any ad hoc issues/request of respective products
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for respective products
  • Remain professionally current on the telecommunications industry and available products and services through seminars, conferences, professional memberships, and the review of research papers and reports, data trends, and professional journals.
    • Stay up to date on telecommunication trends and developments around the world, especially on advertising/marketing and user trends, which could impact the business
    • Monitor/be on the lookout for and recommend appropriate and ethical actions vs competitor activities
  • Supervise assigned staff in the accomplishment of the duties and responsibilities of this   position.
  • Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.
  • Assist other staff and functional areas in their areas of responsibilities, as needed.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management or related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Equivalent additional work experience can substitute for education.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

 

  • Three years of progressive professional marketing and sales experience, preferably in the telecommunication areas of wireless sales, wireless product management, and/or marketing or equivalent experience in marketing of products/services in other industries.


Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The physical activity of this position includes; Pushing: using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or upward. Fingering: picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling– making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Talking: expressing ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.

The physical requirements of this position involve light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.

For visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision, the worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


Working Conditions


The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.

Formerly Micronesian Telecommunications Corp, IT&E was a part of Verizon International. CITADEL acquired IT&E in 2005 after successfully navigating the US CIFUS process and the Federal Communications Commission. In 2006, a partnership was established with Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, which invested in the company as part of its telecommunications push. The company acquired IT&E in Guam, and together, became the largest wireless provider in Micronesia. The entire company was renamed IT&E. IT&E was the first in the region to offer 3G services with the launch of CDMA EVDO in 2009. It soon followed with the launch of 4G LTE in 2011.
