Job Description:

The Tax Senior Specialist works hand in hand with the Finance Director, Group Tax Director, the CGS team and other relevant stakeholder in supporting and executing tax planning strategies, activities and projects.

The Tax Senior Specialist will help design and formulate tax saving measures and initiatives for the assigned companies. This role is the focal for admin coordination with the various stakeholders including government agencies such as DGT.

He/She makes sure that all relevant tax matters, filings and all other related requirements are prepared complete, accurate and on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate, develop and help implement/execute tax planning strategies, activities and projects for each of the companies of the Group as well as conduct regular tax compliance audit.
  • Timely cascade new revenue regulations and issuances to facilitate full compliance of the Group.
  • Lead and coordinate with Finance Department, including the CSG team for compliance with tax audit requirements and/or tax assessment notices issued by DGT and related agencies.
  • Represent administratively and coordinate directly with DGT other government agencies for all tax matters of the Group, including drafting and preparation of related letters and required correspondences.
  • Computation and filing of company's tax returns which includes but not limited to: Value Added Tax, Withholding Taxes Income Tax, Documentary Stamp Tax, etc.
  • Filing, collating, archiving of all tax and related documents of assigned OpCos.
  • Manage coordination with other third-party outsourced services such as PWC, EY etc. and the like related to tax matters and activities
  • All other tasks that may be assigned by the Chief Finance Officer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, or related Business or Finance courses
  • At least 3-5 years of solid work experience in the field of tax compliance and reporting, preferably from a Big4 Firm
  • Extensive knowledge on tax and customs compliance and financial analysis.
  • Strategic and highly analytical
  • Flexible and independent with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Detail oriented coupled with the ability to start from scratch and learn quickly
  • Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints
  • Good interpersonal skills and outgoing.
  • Taxation Laws, Rules, and Regulation Advance
  • Experience and knowledgeable on tax audits and other tax processes initiated by the tax authorities
  • Knowledge Prepare and/or Review of Tax Returns Advance
  • Knowledge Strategic Tax Planning Knowledge / Can Do Tax Compliance Audit

  • Excellent understanding of the business, ideally with an in-depth knowledge of taxation processes
  • Broad knowledge in tax and revenue regulations
  • Proven collaboration and presentation skills
  • Able to articulate the information well to the teams and counterparties.
  • Analytical and can provide resolutions to error or issues
