Enterprise | Assistant Sales Manager (IT&E-2027)

The Enterprise Assistant Sales Manager (ASM), under the guidance of the Senior Sales Manager (SSM), oversees the daily business operations of the sales department. This involves the tracking and monitoring of opportunities in the sales pipeline and the end-to-end sales process. The ASM will be assisting the SSM in organizing, planning and implementing sales strategy. The ASM’s responsibilities also include effectively handling customer complaints, assisting with the recruitment of sales staff, delegating tasks to the sales staff in the absence of the sales manager and delivering revenue from either New or Existing IT&E Customers.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Employee will:

  • Sell at or above assigned individual and team sales quota.
  • Attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Hire, train, and motivate sales team to reach desired sales objectives.
  • Assist the SSM in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Know and uphold the established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, Department and Division objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards.
  • Participate as a member of the management team in the development of the IT&E business strategy and other short and long-term corporate plans, providing input and expertise relevant to sales issues.
  • Develop, in collaboration with the Sales Management Team (“Management”) and Enterprise Account Managers (EAM), goals and objectives for the Department in line with the IT&E Mission and business strategy.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to EAMs to assist them in ensuring efficient and successful departmental operations through the development of performance measures, establishment of sales quotas (in collaboration with Management) and other goals and objectives, setting priorities and obtaining and giving feedback.
  • Manage and supervise the work of the department’s Enterprise Account Specialists (EAS).
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies that will enable the sales force to achieve sales objectives and create profitable market expansion for the various IT&E services and products. 
  • Take the lead in developing marketing collaterals suitable for enterprise customers and in line with overall Sales objectives.
  • Organize events to promote and disseminate information on New Products and Services to the business community, military, government and federal agencies.
  • Monitor and motivate the performance of Enterprise Account Managers to ensure aggressive execution of sales programs and the attainment of established sales quotas. Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best. Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates.
  • Prepare and assist Enterprise Account Managers in the preparation of sales proposals crafted to meet client needs and win and retain market share against local and regional competition.
  • Represent the company to the public and at regional trade meetings to promote company products and services.
  • Identify sales opportunities for current IT&E services and products, and assist in the development, roll out, and life-cycle management of new services and products.
  • Receive service and trouble calls from business account clients and follow-up with the Business Support Team to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of the complaint.
  • Track the team’s progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.
  • Review sales pipeline in CRM regularly and ensure that data is consistent with what is on CostGuard/Billing Platform.
  • Research and gather information regarding market interests and demands, competitor products and sales methods and IT&E brand recognition and approval status to assist in the development of sales strategies. Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning.
  • Develop, with the assistance of the Analytics Manager reports on the CRM to show sales volume and product sales statistics to assist in product planning, development, marketing and other pre-sales activities.
  • Coordinate with the Office of Human Resource Management to develop and implement in-service and cross-training, and other programs and strategies to improve sales skill levels, enhance individual employee advancement potential, productivity, safety, and quality within the Department.
  • Serve as project manager on special projects, as assigned by the SSM, Senior Director or CEO.
  • Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, advertising, business management or related field, or four years additional related work experience
  • Seven years professional-level sales experience, with two years supervisory/managerial experience


Physical Demands

The physical activity of this position includes crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.

The physical requirements of this position involve light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.

For visual acuity requirements including preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection) using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


Working Conditions


The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.

Formerly Micronesian Telecommunications Corp, IT&E was a part of Verizon International. CITADEL acquired IT&E in 2005 after successfully navigating the US CIFUS process and the Federal Communications Commission. In 2006, a partnership was established with Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, which invested in the company as part of its telecommunications push. The company acquired IT&E in Guam, and together, became the largest wireless provider in Micronesia. The entire company was renamed IT&E.
