The Business Account Manager is responsible for representing IT&E to the business community and developing connections that will lead to the sale and continued usage of IT&E products, equipment and services. The Business Account Manager, under the guidance of the Sales Manager, will implement the department’s sales strategy within an assigned territory to maximize the company’s position as a key provider of business telecommunications products and services in Micronesia and the Pacific region.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Employee will:

  • Assist the Sales Manager in the development of the IT&E sales strategy, providing input and expertise relevant to sales issues, developing individual and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Implement sales strategies that will enable the achievement of sales objectives and create profitable market expansion for the various IT&E services and products.
  • Develop business contacts through e-mails, telephone calls and office walk-ins.
  • Follow up on initial contacts through face-to-face meetings with customers to determine their initial basic telecommunications needs.
  • Provide information to customers and educate them regarding available products and services and the range of options and prices.
  • Perform initial survey of business site and obtain planned locations for product installation; obtain location diagram from customer or prepare one, if not available.
  • Prepare sales proposal and quotation and deliver to customer, clarifying details and answering any questions.
  • Follow up on proposals with customers until obtaining the customer’s approval, amending initial proposal as required.
  • Initiate the processing of the service order and monitoring its progress until installation is completed.
  • Receive service and trouble calls from business account clients and follow-up with the Customer Service Department to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of the complaint.
  • Review work assignments, work reports, and other performance metrics, with the Sales Manager.
  • Provide input to departmental sales reports to show sales volume and product sales statistics.
  • Participate in in-service training, cross-training, and other programs and strategies to improve sales skills and productivity and to enhance personal advancement potential.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in the training of new employees, as directed.
  • Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

 

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college in marketing, advertising, business management or related field, or two years additional related work experience
  • Two years professional-level sales experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry


Physical Demands

The physical activity of this position includes standing: remaining upright for sustained periods of time, Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Fingering: picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling– making substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

Talking: expressing ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.

The physical requirements of this position involve medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

For visual acuity requirements including preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection) using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


Working Conditions


The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.

 

About IT&E


Formerly Micronesian Telecommunications Corp, IT&E was a part of Verizon International. CITADEL acquired IT&E in 2005 after successfully navigating the US CIFUS process and the Federal Communications Commission. In 2006, a partnership was established with Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, which invested in the company as part of its telecommunications push. The company acquired IT&E in Guam, and together, became the largest wireless provider in Micronesia. The entire company was renamed IT&E. IT&E was the first in the region to offer 3G services with the launch of CDMA EVDO in 2009. It soon followed with the launch of 4G LTE in 2011.
